Like all mineral sunscreens, Matte shield may initially leave some degree of visible cast when first applied.
Matte shield was specifically developed to help minimize one of the common cosmetic drawbacks of mineral sunscreen — visible white cast. Its subtle tint helps the zinc oxide formula blend more naturally into the appearance of the skin.
When properly massaged into the skin, the initial cast is designed to diminish as the product is absorbed and blended, leaving behind a natural-looking matte finish rather than the greasy-looking shine commonly associated with sunscreen.
As with any tinted mineral product, the final appearance can vary depending on skin tone and the amount applied.
